Sam Holder is a multi-award winning journalist and presenter who specialises in agenda–setting original stories and investigations.
He is a reporter for ITV News. Previously he worked for Sky News and Reuters.
His 10 part series "Please Protect Abraham" for BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds, uncovered serious concerns about witness protection in Britain. The series received critical acclaim and won awards across the globe, including at the New York Festivals and the Amnesty Media awards.
He won the News Story of The Year (Broadcast) Award at the Medical Journalists' Association Awards for his investigation into fake online pharmacies for ITV News.
An exclusive investigation into Britain’s biggest private provider of NHS GP surgeries for BBC Panorama was shortlisted for a British Journalism Award. Sam was also shortlisted for a Sandford St Martin award for his series of special reports into antisemitism. He was also awarded 'Journalist of the Year' at the ITV News Awards.
Sam presented the half-hour prime-time documentary "Passover: A Jewish Journey" on ITV and travelled to France to investigate the future of the Jewish community there in a documentary for "On Assignment".
Other exclusive investigations include the risk of cyberattacks at public institutions and toxic fumes caused by a never-ending fire in East London.
He frequently covers lead stories as well as appearing live on-location and in the studio.
Sam has interviewed prominent politicians, including PM Rishi Sunak, public figures and celebrities. He has a particular interest in security and community relations and speaks conversational Arabic.
